Rosabrook: Flying Up The Front

28 June 2013

We are ecstatic to announce that the 2012 Rosabrook Single Vineyard Estate Chardonnay 2012 has been selected by Qantas for International First class flights. This is the fourth Rosabrook wine to be selected by Qantas in the past three years and is the first Rosabrook wine to be selected for First Class. The 2009 Rosabrook Chardonnay was selected in 2011, the 2010 Rosabrook Cabernet Merlot was selected in 2012 and the 2010 Rosabrook Cabernet Sauvignon was selected earlier this year, all for Qantas business class flights.

The Rosabrook Single Vineyard Estate range was launched in 2010, the range includes a Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Chardonnay with a Tempranillo to be added to the range and released later this year. The Rosabrook ‘SVE’ range of wines are all hand-picked with only the best bunches selected and treated to top quality oak. Winemaker, Brian Fletcher takes great care to nurture these wines from vineyard to final bottling to ensure the best possible outcome. The wines are elegant and refined and worthy of cellaring for patient rewards. The Rosabrook ‘SVE’ wines have been very well regarded in their short life – with a number of awards including several 95 point ratings from James Halliday and a highly recommended rating from Decanter Magazine.

The Rosabrook Single Vineyard Estate Chardonnay 2012 is a wine of considerable elegance and finesse. It displays a fine aromatic Chardonnay aroma balanced with some good quality fresh oak. Finely structured palate with clean fruit, delicate mineralriality with subtle oak adding creaminess and complexity of flavour.  Tremendous length of flavour and persistence. This wine also has the unique ability to shine in both phases of life; it is a fresh and vibrant style now however will also benefit from some bottle age with cellaring potential to 2020.
