Vineyard and Winery Update

It has been pretty chilly lately, but with that comes some beautiful early mornings, with some sunny and frosty weather that make for a picture perfect view.

What have we been up to recently in the wineries? We have been emptying some 2022 red to make room for 2023. We have also been stabilising and filtering some 23 whites to get them ready.

In the vineyards, the vines are hitting dormancy stage. This is the time when they are going to sleep for the winter and recovering from the growing season. Frosty mornings are very helpful for the process.

Pruning is very much happening around the place and will continue for the next few weeks until end of August.  It is a good time to walk the vineyards before pruning, to get an idea of the vine structure and notice areas of vigour or weakness.

Nice to see the young vines at Rosabrook all stripped and showing their growth.
