Rosabrook Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 – Cellarmasters Red Wine of the Year Winner!

17 June 2019

We are thrilled to announce that our Rosabrook Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 has been selected as the Cellarmasters Red Wine of the Year Winner for 2019!

The Cellarmasters Red Wine of the Year award has been going for over 24 years and has been won by some of Australia’s finest winemakers and producers. This year is the first time that a Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon has won this coveted award.

Rosabrook Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 impressed the judges with its power, intensity and finesse, beating a field of over 200 outstanding contenders to claim the top prize. The wine boasts beautiful briary blackcurrant fruit flavours with hints of slate and earth. The wine is classical Margaret River Cabernet.

Crafted by Margaret River legend Brian Fletcher

When it comes to wine, experience counts, and there aren’t many Margaret River winemakers with more of it than Brian Fletcher. Brian started his winemaking career in 1978 and has worked in some of Australia and the world’s finest regions. He’s one of Margaret River’s most respected winemakers and he helped launch Evans & Tate to international stardom while working there as chief winemaker from 1993 – 2000.

Iconic Margaret River winery

Rosabrook is one of Margaret River’s original wine pioneers. For more than 30 years Rosabrook has produced wines that capture the very essence of the region, and now under the watchful eye of award-winning winemaker Brian Fletcher the wines continue to go from strength to strength.

Mike Bennie scores our Rosabrook Single Vineyard Tempranillo a 92!

3 May 2019

We’re very happy to share that our newly released Rosabrook Single Estate Vineyard Tempranillo 2014 has been awarded 92 points by Mike Bennie in the latest issue of WBM – Australia’s Wine Business Magazine.

“How cool to see a growing, albeit small, cohort of Tempranillo producers in Margaret River, here with a wine produced in a medium bodied fashion with neat and tidy savouriness and a light dusting of woody spice. Sarsaparilla and cherry cola chime in too. Lovely, soft, supply drinking experience.” 92 Points

Thanks Mike!

94 POINTS FOR ROSABROOK WINES 2016 SINGLE VINEYARD CHARDONNAY

5 March 2019

We’re proud to share that our newly released Rosabrook Wines 2016 Single Vineyard Estate Chardonnay received 94 points in Ray Jordan’s Wine Guide 2019.

“This impressive, elegant chardonnay is one of the best from this producer. Engaging aromas of butterscotch and citrusy grapefruit with an underlying nectarine complexity. The palate is light-bodied but intense, with a tight controlling structure that carries it to a very long finish. The minerally edginess adds that final piece to the equation. Nice wine.”

Rosabrook Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2016

“Light to mid-yellow colour with a candlewax aroma, which is youthful and straightforward for its age. There are lemony flavours of good intensity and focus. A very nice wine.”

Rosabrook Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

“Deep red colour with a good tint of purple, the bouquet toasty-oaky and laced with coconut, the palate very big, tannic, full-bodied. The wine has abundant acidity and the tannins are firm and grippy, ensuring it will age well, although it would be very good now with cheese or meat. Lots of oak, acid and tannin! Oak has been pushed to the max.”
