Triple Treat: Rosabrook Cab Merlot 2009!

22 July 2011

The Rosabrook Cabernet Merlot 2009 has received three fantastic reviews from three of the best: Tony Love, Ray Jordan and Peter Forrestal! Here is what they had to say…

Grip and Presence – Tony Love (Taste Magazine)

‘Quite lifted and captivating with fragrant summer heated bramble bushes, bush tracks, and old, dry wood stacks, all nicely crafted here into a no-nonsense drink with grip and presence and enough flavour to mix it with a fun, backyard barbecue. Its 2008 merlot sibling ($22) also has a lot to be happy about as well, having found a lovely sweet spot in its personality’

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars – A cut above Value: Very good Food: Mixed grill plate

Best Reds Top 100 for Winter Drinking – Ray Jordan (The West Australian)

‘Excellent season for these varieties down south in WA and this one brings it all together perfectly. Has the plump fleshiness you want in the style with some backbone to give it structure. Dark fruit notes on the nose with a plump palate supported with a tight tannin and oak mix. Good wine.’

Top Drops – Peter Forrestal (Sunday Times Magazine)

‘Well-priced Margaret River blend from a single vineyard overlooking Geographe Bay. It’s ripe, bright and fresh, with exuberant redcurrant and cassis flavours, silky smooth texture and fine, supple tannins’
