2011 Chenin Blanc
Pale green in colour, this wine has a lifted melon-fruit nose with a fine tropic flavours and creamy textured palate. It is soft and redolent in easy fruit flavours and a great reflection of Margaret River quality.
The 2011 vintage has been characterised by dry winter and spring conditions combined with warmer than average temperatures during the ripening season. An exceptionally long Indian summer has led to the earliest vintage on record. Whites were harvested at optimum ripeness and have very good flavour and finesse. Reds are highly coloured and flavoursome and should be classic in style and great quality.
Our vineyards are in northern Margaret River with soils of mostly fine clay loams over ironstone. All vines are vertically shoot positioned and run in a north-south direction.
All our grapes are night harvested to protect fruit flavours, pressed and clarified then fermented with natural yeasts. The wine is made and held cold in tank just prior to bottling.
