2012 Cabernet Merlot
Deep purple colour with lifted, rich and ripe fruit with balanced oak. Medium bodied palate with fine deep tannins and a succulent deep fruited finish
The 2012 growing season was dominated by a succession of warm fronts which swept over the southwest in the new year, however, some good spring rains left the soil moistures sufficient to carry through and in the end a great year for reds.
Our vineyards are in northern Margaret River with soils of mostly fine clay loams over ironstone. All vines are vertically shoot positioned and run in north south aspect.
Fermented in open vats and matured in oak for twelve months, fined and clarified before bottling.
