2012 Single Vineyard Estate Tempranillo
Deep purple in colour this wine is lifted and spicy with sufficient power to carry the American oak. The palate does not hold back,
deep, spicy potpourri and abundant tannins will see many years reward.
The 2012 growing season was dominated by a succession of warm fronts which swept over the southwest in the new year, however, some good spring rains left the soil moistures sufficient to carry through and in the end a great year for reds.
Drawn from our best site in the very north of Margaret River, consisting of fine gravels over ironstone and deeper schists. Lyre trellis and hand picked thirty year old vines.
Conventionally fermented and transferred to about 10% new American Oak and matured for twelve months.
