Rosabrook Margaret River Wines

2016 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Makers Notes

This is the classic blend from Margaret River -it is pale green in colour, with aromas of succulent Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. The palate is flinty and dry, with an explosive first impact of sweet racy fruit, creamy middle palate with a fine and lengthy finish.

Vintage Notes

Our 2016 vintage conditions were exceptional for these varieties.

Vineyard Notes

Our vineyards are dispersed across the Margaret River region.

Vinification Notes

Harvested in early morning, crushed grapes were juice-extracted to a bright condition and cold fermented in stainless steel, then early bottled to retain varietal character.

89 points in the James Halliday Wine Companion 2018.

89 points The West Australian Wine Guide by Ray Jordan.

"One of the more textural examples of this blend. The nose is lightly herbal with a little citrus aromatic and lemon blossom. The palate has a slightly creamy character with a trace of herbaceousness and tropical passionfruit characters. Clean crisp acid to finish."

"An easy-going 68/32% blend laden with quince, gooseberry and herbaceous notes, skittering across a light to mid-weighted palate punctuated by a grapefruit twist, talcum dryness and skinsy bite." - James Halliday Wine Companion
