This is the classic style for Chardonnay in Margaret River, with stone fruits and a very fine and creamy palate, tight and fine length of flavour. Subtle oak sits in the background to compliment and add complexity.
The 2015 vintage saw normal Margaret River weather patterns emerging after the New Year, however, temperatures were moderated during an extraordinary ripening period for whites during February and March.
Our vineyards are in northern Margaret River with soils of mostly fine clay loams over ironstone. All vines are vertically shoot positioned and run in north south aspect.
Grapes were night harvested and the juice cold pressed. After fermentation the wine was lightly oak matured, fined, clarified and bottled early to conserve the fine Chardonnay fruit flavours into the bottle.
